Full Body Holistic Massage with Warm Oil

An oil based Swedish massage involving a variety of strokes, from soothing effleurage to invigorating petrissage. Catered for all your needs, either deep tissue or light and sensual, depending on your preference.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is a specific massage which employs techniques to work below superficial connective tissue with the intent of breaking up old structural patterns and allowing the free flow of nutrients and oxygen in the blood. Deep tissue massage requires that the therapist applies a considerable amount of pressure which can, in some cases, cause some discomfort. However, I will always work within your own comfort zone.

Deep Tissue can be beneficial to the following people

● Athletes and performers, those who exercise excessively
● Individuals with chronic joint or muscle injuries
● Individuals that perform repetitive work that creates tension in joints and muscles
● Individuals who suffer from stress

Hot Stone Massage

What is a hot stone massage and what are the benefits?

A hot stone massage uses basalt stones which are volcanic rocks rich in iron which have innate ability to absorb and retain heat. These stones are used as tools to deliver effective tissue and muscle massage at a pressure level comfortable for you. The warmth of the stones relieves stress and tension in muscles and enhances circulation.

The positive effects of a hot stone massage are countless. On the physical aspect of the body, it does wonders in muscle and deep tissue relaxation, relieves tension, stress and pain such as back aches and muscular pain, improves circulation and releases toxins. Mental benefits on the other hand include calming of the psyche, giving peace of mind, reducing anxiety. It is also used to treat some medical conditions such as Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Insomnia and some circulatory problems.

Who cannot take a hot stone massage?

Most people are suitable for treatment. However, those who have infectious skin disease, rash, open wounds and those who are prone to blood clots are contra-indicated for a hot stone massage. Those who have recently had surgery, chemotherapy or radiation are also advised to stay away from this treatment.
